   To greatly speed up the task of some repetitive transactions

   you can set up a function key to do some of the typing for

   you. From the System Maintenance Menu, choose Function Key

   Defaults [choice 8-D], select a function key number between 2

   and 10 and type:

 

   For another function key number type:

 

   CASH\;;;;97;1;;;;;;;;;H

 

   Note that the precise number of semi-colons you type in is

   important.

 In this example, a sku number 97-00001 has been set up for repairs. To

 set up a repair sku number select Major Class code Maintenance (choice

 8,3,1) and type in 97 for the major class code. Make sure the REPAIR

 CATEGORY is filled in with 1.

 

  Now Make a Sale (Choice 1,1). When prompted for the customer last name,

  press the F2 (function 2 key)
