On Windows 10 computers the QuickBooks 2016 installation activates four Windows "services" that prevent Visual Jewelry Shopkeeper from running !
To disable these services, open the Windows Task Manager.
(E.g. by clicking the Windows Start icon or pressing the W-Windows key, then typing TASK MANAGER)
In the Task Manager, select the Startup Tab.
In turn, right-click on each of the four services listed below and choose DISABLE.
(if you ever need to update QuickBooks, you can do that within QuickBooks)
Then restart the computer.
