Instructions for merging two customer records into one

 

This can be used if the same customer were added more than once or if you want to merge the records of married customers

If a customer has more than two records you can repeat these steps to merge three or four or more records into one.

 

*) From the Maintenance Menu, choose  Merge Customer Records

(If that option does not appear, choose Customize Menu then add it back. )

Then select the customer name to be removed and then the customer to receive the removed customer's history. then Merge

The history and notes and comments are merged but the name, address, phone number and email, etc. of the first customer are not added to the second customer record.

 

If you need some of that information from the first customer record added to the second customer's record (e.g. as a Spouse), make a note of that information before merging and manually add it to the remaining record afterward.
