Below are two different windows configurations. One

or the other configuration frequently helps in the case of printing

irregularities. Try one and if that doesn't help try the other.

 

However, before that you can try a few printing options within the

Shop-Pro provided you have Version 9.4 or later

 

From option 8,8 "Store Information Defaults", page-down to page 2

and at the bottom look for the option "Alternative Printing Method"

If it's set to 0 you can try setting it to 1. You can also try setting

it to 2 and 3 to see if any of those settings help any printing problems

you may have been experiencing.

 

If the above option doesn't apply to you or doesn't help see the

Windows printers settings below.

 

*** TURNING OFF DOS SPOOLING FROM WINDOWS 95/98/ME ***

 

Go to the Windows 95/98/ME Desktop, (press Ctrl-Escape if you're not

already at the desktop). Click the Start icon, then click Settings,

then Printers. Each of your printers should have a printer icon to

represent it.

 

*Click the right mouse button on the printer icon

 

*Choose Properties

 

*Choose the Details tab

 

*Choose the Port Settings button

 

*There should be a line which reads SPOOL MS-DOS JOBS. Make sure

the check box next to this line is NOT checked. Choose OK a

few times to get back to the box of printer icons

 

*Repeat the steps for all the other printer icons

(Try the above Windows settings first. Sometimes you have to restart the

computer for them to take effect.

If they don't help, then you could try the below settings instead.)

 

*** CHANGE WINDOWS 95/98/ME SPOOLING TO 'LAST PAGE'  ***

 

Go to the Windows 95/98/ME Desktop, (press Ctrl-Escape if you're not

already at the desktop). Click the Start icon, then click Settings,

then Printers. Each of your printers should have a printer icon to

represent it.

 

*Click the right mouse button on the printer icon

 

*Choose Properties

 

*Choose the Details tab

 

*Choose the Port Setting Button

 

*Set the "Spool MS-DOS Print Jobs" box to be Checked

 

*Choose OK

 

*Choose the Spool Settings button

 

*Select (with a dot) the line which reads "Spool print jobs..." and

"Print after Last page..." and change the spool data format to RAW

 

*Choose OK a few times to close the printers boxes
