If you use the security features of the Jewelry Shopkeeper, you can impose limits on what percentage discount can be subtracted from the sales screen. Use this option if you have already started typing in a sale, but find that you need to enter a greater discount than normally allowed for your password. Make sure the cursor is highlighting the item you need to change and press left arrow <←> when the cursor is in the Price field to choose the Options, then choose the Manager Override feature from the list. Ask a manager to type in her password, or type it in yourself if you know the manager password. Then you can type in the higher discount for that item only. If other items also need larger than normal discounts, you will have to use the Manager Override for each of those items.
