2b.Select the Component Criteria

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The options below refer not to the complete finished items but to the components assembled into the finished items.

Even though the finished items whose components meet the conditions below may themselves not meet these conditions, they will still show up. However, the other components (that don’t meet these conditions) of those finished items will not appear. That is, the components listed by a finished item may not be the complete list of components for that item.

Component Vendors:*} Use this option to restrict the selection to component items from one vendor code only, or a series of vendor codes. To choose components from just one vendor, enter the vendor code as both the starting and ending vendor code. If nothing is entered here, components from ALL vendors will be reported.

Component Manufacturers:*} Use this option to restrict the selection to component items from one manufacturer code only, or a series of manufacturer codes. To choose components from just one manufacturer, enter the manufacturer code as both the starting and ending manufacturer code. If nothing is entered here, components from ALL manufacturers will be reported.

Component Major Class:*} Use this option to restrict the selection to component items from one major class code only or a series of major class code codes. To choose components from just one major class code, enter the major class code as both the starting and ending major class code. If nothing is entered here, components from ALL major class codes will be reported.

Component Minor Class:*} Use this option to restrict the selection to component items from one minor class code only or a series of minor class code codes. To choose components from just one minor class code, enter the minor class code as both the starting and ending minor class code. If nothing is entered here, components from ALL minor class codes will be reported.

Component Dates Entered:*} Use this option to restrict the selection to component items that were received on one date only, or between a range of dates. To choose components from just one date, enter the date as both the starting and ending date. If nothing is entered, components received on ALL dates will be reported.

Component Costs:*} Use this option to restrict the selection to component items from one cost only, or a range of costs. To choose components from just one cost, enter the cost as both the starting and ending cost. If nothing is entered, finished items from ALL costs will be reported.

Component Weights:*} Use this option to restrict the selection to component items from one weight only, or a range of weights. To choose components from just one weight, enter the weight as both the starting and ending weight. If nothing is entered, finished items from ALL weights will be reported.

Group By Finished Good or Component Part*} If you choose to group by Finished Good, then the finished items will be sorted according to your choice below. Each finished item that meets the criteria you choose above will be shown. Below each finished item all of the components will be listed. Note that if you place restrictions on the Components to be included in the report, then only those components meeting the restrictions will show up.

If you choose to group by Component Part, then the components will be sorted according to your choice below. Next to each component you will be shown the finished item into which the component was assembled.

Sort by Sku no, Manufacturer or Vendor*} The report can be printed in order of Sku number, manufacturer, or vendor. Press <Enter> on this option to select the sort option that you want.

Display, Print, Wide or Compressed*} The report can be displayed on the screen or printed on the printer. If the report will be printed, you can print on regular size paper or, if you have one, you could print on a wide-carriage printer that has room to print more detail. The wide report can also print the same detailed report on a standard-size printer by using small (compressed) characters. To change this selection, highlight the option and press <Enter>.

Start Report*} Choose this option to start the report according to your selections. The report will display on-screen or on paper depending on your selection above.

Before the report prints it will take a few moments to sort the report according to your choice above.

When the report has finished, the report screen will re-appear. You can return to step 2 to run another report, or press <0> to return to the previous menu.
