TracTech Single RFID Tag at a Time Reader
The usual method of reading RFID tags is via the "wand" which reads multiple tags at a time - such as an entire case or a pile on the counte.
However, TracTech can also provide you with a small size reader that, Shopkeeper, can be used to look up individual inventory items the Inventory Status screen or to sell items in the sales screen.
You can verify that your reader is working by reading a tag in a word processor or in an email etc. It should show you a 24-digit number something like this: 000000000000100108230325 and the blinking cursor should end up on the line below. If the cursor does not end up on the line below the long number, ask TracTech for the instructions to configure the single reader to "press" the <Enter> Key after each read.
To use the reader from the Inventory Status screen, either click on the 4th radio button under the Sku Search box at the top right, then read in one RFID tag using the mini-reader.
Or, the other option is to press the RFID icon, then select Read One Tag
then scan in one tag.
From the sales screen, you can press the Shortcut Ctrl-I to open the Inventory Search box in single tag RFID mode.
When you read the single tag, you shouldn't have to press the Enter key for it to be looked-up.
But if the Sku isn't searched until you press the <Enter> Key, ask TracTech the steps to configure the single reader to "press" the <Enter> Key after each read.
