The tag designer can work with pretty much every tag, but it's more common to have the tag text area on the left.
The background shape on the tag designer screen has no effect on printing - it's just to make the designer resemble the tag more.
In fact we once tested the TT360 and below is the layout that we found worked. Note the Adjust All Right number which compensates for the fact that the text is on the right side of the tag.
