KILLING PRINT JOB

 

Sounds like a print job is stuck in either:

 

STUCK IN WINDOWS PRINT QUEUE:

 

Choose Start, Settings, Printers  or Start, Printers & Faxes.

 

Double click the printer that is printing the job.

 

If a job shows (under Document Name)

 

Choose Printer and Cancel Documents

 

 

STUCK IN PRINTER:

 

Turn the printer OFF and ON to clear a job in the printer's memory

 

 

TO TEST THE PRINTER

 

Right Click the printer icon. Choose Properties. On the GENERAL TAB,

click TEST PRINT

Deleting print Jobs that won't delete

when you choose Printer, Cancel All Print Jobs

 

Open the JS-Menu icon or a dos prompt to get the

Command prompt.

 

Type

NET  STOP  SPOOLER        and press Enter

DEL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\PRINTERS\*.*

NET  START SPOOLER        and press Enter

EXIT                      and press Enter
